Andy Ozment is the Chief Technology Risk Officer and EVP at Capital One, where he also leads data management risk. Previously, he was CISO and a Partner at Goldman Sachs. In government, Andy was the Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity at the US Department of Homeland Security from 2014-2017. His team of ~700 employees protected 2M government users, supported private companies, and responded to dozens of incidents like the breach of the Ukrainian power grid in 2015. From 2012-2014, Andy led national policy for President Obama at the White House, where he served as Deputy Cyber Czar. He was responsible for the Executive Order that created the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Andy earned a BS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, an MS from the LSE, and a PhD from Cambridge.
